Functional Tester (Swift AMH)

Experience Range

• Preferred experience range: 4 to 7 years for Analyst/Senior Analyst level candidates.
• Flexibility to consider candidates with 3+ years of relevant experience if they possess strong domain expertise.
• Focus should remain on candidates with up to 8 years of experience; profiles with significantly higher experience may result in a higher rejection ratio.

Must-Have Skills

1. SAMH (SWIFT Alliance Messaging Hub) experience - Mandatory.
2. Payment's domain experience - Mandatory.
3. Understanding of SWIFT payment processing and cross-border payment flows.
4. Knowledge of ISO 20022, MT and MX messaging standards.
5. Ability to troubleshoot payment flows across systems and identify where transactions are delayed or failed.
6. Strong testing fundamentals including:
• Functional Testing
• Test Case Design & Execution
• SDLC/STLC understanding
• RTM preparation and management
• Defect Management and Test Management processes/tools

Good-to-Have Skills

1. Knowledge of middleware/payment gateway systems such as:
• SWIFT FIN
• SWIFT InterAct
• SWIFT-related middleware components
2. Exposure to Euro payment systems (TARGET2 or similar).
3. Basic understanding of AI tools for test case generation.
4. Automation testing experience.
5. Prior experience supporting similar banking/payment clients.

Clarifications Discussed

• Jira is not mandatory; experience with any defect management/test management tool is acceptable.
• Automation testing is an added advantage but is not a mandatory requirement.
• Core evaluation focus should remain on:
• Testing fundamentals
• Payments processing knowledge
• SAMH experience.
