Functional Tester – WMS (C++ / Oracle Environment)

Role Overview

Functional Tester to support a legacy Warehouse Management System (WMS) with no vendor support. The role requires close collaboration with business stakeholders and hands-on validation of backend data in an Oracle environment.

Key Responsibilities -

• • Work closely with NPL Functional Owner to understand business workflows and validate system behavior
• • Capture, document, and execute test cases covering end-to-end WMS processes
• • Perform data validation and verification by accessing Oracle database tables
• • Execute functional, regression, and integration testing
• • Identify, log, track, and retest defects
• • Validate system behavior during Windows Server upgrade (2016 → 2019) across multiple sites
• • Support testing cycles for 5 NPL locations including Werne and Holzwekide.

Required Skills

• • Ability to write SQL queries for data validation
• • Experience in test case design, execution, and defect tracking tools
• • Strong experience in Functional Testing (manual testing preferred)Basic working knowledge of C++-based applications (read/understand logic)
• • Hands-on experience with Oracle databases (querying tables, data validation)

Good to Have

• • Experience with legacy WMS systems
• • Familiarity with server upgrade testing scenarios
• • Understanding of supply chain/logistics processes
