Your Role:
The Vice President Fund Accounting is responsible for ensuring that private credit funds and their general partners/fund managers are provided with accurate and timely accounting services. In addition, the Vice President shall manage client relationships in line with the service level agreements, Citco procedures and best practices, applicable accounting standards while maintaining focus on training and development of staff as well as process improvements.
Client Service:
Act as a liaison with Clients on matters relating to Fund Accounting services
Act as a liaison with external parties
Collaborate with Client Integration team (including new client onboarding and conversions)
Collaborate with Client Service Team to develop client service level agreements
Coordinate, manage and monitor external audit processes
Ensure timely and accurate responses to client queries
Oversee resource allocation and workflow to meet client SLAs
Provide technical accounting/industry knowledge to clients
Operations:
Ensure compliance with internal policies/procedures/best practices, external standards, and regulatory requirements
Ensure documentation is compliant with internal and external/regulatory standards
Ensure efficient and effective daily operations
Execute strategic plans to archive business objectives
Generate ad hoc reports as required
Implementation of efficiency initiatives in a timely manner
Liaise with Investor Relations, Waterfall, Tax, Financial Reporting and other Citco groups/teams globally
Maintain high standards of quality and accuracy in all aspects of operations
Oversee periodical Net Asset Value calculations for the Private Equity Funds, including Financial Statement preparation, trial balance review and Partner/Shareholder Allocation calculations.
Participate in technology automation, procedure development, and other special projects/initiatives
Review accounting work, capital events, other client deliverables, investor statements and reporting prepared by staff
Review operations processes for the Company’s Private Equity division
Review private equity funds’ partnership agreements, PPMs and other materials
Review the calculation of fund specific expenses, including admin fees, management fees, carried interest and other applicable fees
Team Management:
Act as a liaison between the team and senior management
Conduct regular meetings to communicate objectives, updates and expectations
Evaluate team performance, providing timely feedback and conducting performance reviews
Facilitate effective communication within the department and other departments/groups
Forster a culture of continuous improvement and learning within the department
Identify training needs, organize professional development plans for the team and coach them to success
Lead and manage a team of managers and staff, providing guidance and support
Onboard new employees and ensure they are fully integrated into the team
Participate in the recruitment and hiring process
About You:
Bachelor or Master Degree in Accounting, Finance, Business related area and/or studying for a professional accounting qualification (ie. CA, CPA or ACCA or equivalent)
With 8+ years’ experience in fund administration, accounting or audit with strong experience in private credit
Strong knowledge of waterfall structures, modelling and calculations
Highly successful record of delivering large scale business/technology reengineering initiatives in the private equity, hedge funds and fund of funds businesses
Knowledge of US Generally Accepted Accounting Principles and IFRS
Experience in reviewing and preparing general ledgers and financial statements
Ability to lead and motivate a team
Project management skills with attention to detail and proven ability to multi-task
Excellent interpersonal abilities
Strong written and verbal communication skills
Proficient in Microsoft applications, including Excel and Copilot
Proficient in Investran is highly desirable (or other similar private equity systems , e.g. eFront)
Proficient in spoken and written Mandarin is highly desirable (but not a necessity)
