ROYAL EVERGREEN – Fund Manager
Royal Evergreen is a single-family office business incorporated as limited liability company based in Singapore. The company manages the family office fund assets by investing in a several select assets classes with global diversification with the objective of preserving the wealth for future generations of the family in the long term.
The fund manager, reporting to the Board of the Family Office, provides advice and market insights relevant to the investments of the family office, as well as overseeing any transaction structuring required for the purpose of investing, new fund injection and withdrawals by the Board from the assets. The fund manager would also provide advice to the Board of the family office regarding strategic acquisitions and corporate actions as well direct investment decisions to be made by the family office.
The fund managers should understand various investments instruments and assets classes including equity along with its structured and derivative products, fixed income along with its structured and derivative products, precious metals, private equity, REITs as well as various major global currencies.
Duty and responsibilities
The fund manager will perform the following principal duties:
- Identify, assess, and evaluate the various investment opportunities available or presented to the family office;
- Monitor ongoing relevant market conditions and developments that may affect future performance of investments;
- Conduct research on certain projects or macro issues relevant to the investments of the family office and the family office itself;
- Monitor the investments performance, and provides investment reporting;
- Maintain investment portfolio that fit the family office overall investment strategy and family office long term plan;
- Provides investment recommendations and alternatives deem viable and fit with the family office overall investment strategy and family office long term plan;
- Provides the necessary inputs and recommendation for investment when there is a need to change investment strategy or portfolio allocation based on recent economic and financial market development in the local, regional and global markets;
- Conduct evaluation of financial transactions / projects / structures to conclude with recommendations and the potential of executing them;
- Liaise and maintain the relationship with various financial institutions providing service to the family office;
- Support internal control and company’s administrative / operational process, especially related to financial recording and reporting including for tax reporting purposes.
Requirements
- University degree in finance with relevant certifications;
- Minimum 25 years of experience in the financial markets with combined experience in investing, fund management and corporate finance;
- More than 7 years experience with family office – experience in advising board members of family office, including interacting with the various parties helping with the family business;
- Experience with and understand various global investments products including equity and fixed income products in major financial markets, precious commodities, properties and REITs, along with its risks;
- Deep knowledge of current economic and market development and environment relevant for investing;
- Experience and understanding with the Indonesian capital markets regulations and environment;
- Strong analytical skills in evaluating equity including ability and experience in running financial models;
- Extensive knowledge and experience in corporate finance, transaction structuring, and types of financings;
- Knowledge of the various investment products and structures specifically tailored to family office investments including insurance, trusts, funds, and variable capital vehicles;
- Knowledge of issues relevant to the family office going-concerns including legacy, governance, and inheritance;
- Familiar with the Indonesian tax regulatory environment;
- Experience in dealing with commercial banks, private banks, investment banks, legal counsels and financial consultants or accounting firms;
- Proficient oral and written communication skills in English and Indonesian as well as basic communication skill in Chinese.
