About the Funds practice
Working with Deborah Johns and Judy Hsu, you will join a leading team advising Australia’s most prominent venture capital and private equity fund managers.
Some representative work of the G+T Funds team in recent times includes:
- Blackbird Ventures on the formation of its sixth vintage of venture capital funds (the Blackbird 2025 Funds), aiming to raise $1.2 billion in capital commitments.
- Five V Capital on the formation and closing of its new private equity growth fund known as “Five V Frontier Fund I” targeting up to $325 million in capital commitments.
- Square Peg Capital on the formation of its sixth vintage of venture capital funds, aiming to raise USD560 million.
- AirTree Ventures on the establishment of its fifth vintage of funds (the AirTree 2024 Funds), aiming to raise $650 million.
- Pemba Capital Partners on its first continuation vehicle transaction, transferring Vets Central into a new $360 million continuation fund backed by cornerstone investor, TPG NewQuest and other leading global institutional investors.
- Brandon Capital on the establishment and final close of Brandon BioCatalyst 6, a A$439 million life sciences fund supporting emerging biomedical technologies with strong commercial potential.
- OneVentures on the establishment of Fund VII, a A$200 million target growth equity fund for later-stage technology companies, expected to take OneVentures’ funds under management above A$1 billion.
About you
You are interested in working on high-profile, technically challenging transactions and keen to continue building your skills and experience in a supportive environment. In addition, you will have:
- 5+ years’ experience, with exposure to investment funds and FIRB
- A desire to work on technically challenging matters
- Outstanding drafting and advice writing skills
- Strong analytical skills
- The ability to work effectively with clients
- The ability to work autonomously and in a team environment
