- Lead design consultations in person, by phone, and virtually to understand customer needs, space requirements, and design preferences.
- Help customers select furniture, materials, colors, finishes, and product configurations that fit their space and style.
- Create accurate quotes, proposals, and custom dimensional configurations using established pricing guidelines and design tools.
- Use 3D design and layout tools to help customers visualize their outdoor living space.
- Follow up consistently on open quotes and design proposals through phone, email, and showroom meetings.
- Represent Patiova at home shows, open houses, showroom events, and the annual Outdoor Living Summit.
- Build lasting customer relationships through personalized follow-up, thank-you notes, project photos, testimonials, and referrals.
- Review custom orders, dimensions, colors, finishes, materials, and product selections for accuracy before production.
- Work closely with drafting, engineering, and production teams to ensure custom designs meet both the customer's vision and technical requirements.
- Track projects through manufacturing and delivery and provide proactive updates to customers and dealers.
- Help resolve design or product challenges by identifying creative and practical solutions.
- Coordinate post-delivery customer support, including touch-up materials, accessories, and warranty needs.
- Build strong relationships with Patiova's wholesale dealer network.
- Support dealer showrooms with display layouts, merchandising recommendations, and new product information.
- Help dealers effectively showcase and sell Patiova products.
- Participate in promotional campaigns, email marketing, and regional sales initiatives.
- Identify and develop potential new dealer relationships through outreach, trade shows, events, and site visits.
- Creative and able to visualize how products will work within a customer's space.
- A strong listener who naturally builds rapport and earns customer trust.
- Comfortable guiding customers through high-value purchases without using a high-pressure sales approach.
- Detail-oriented and precise when working with measurements, product specifications, materials, colors, and custom options.
- A creative problem-solver who enjoys finding solutions to unique design and space challenges.
- Organized and able to manage multiple projects and customer relationships at the same time.
- Confident communicating with customers, dealers, and internal teams.
- Positive, resilient, and comfortable working in a fast-paced environment.
- Willing to learn new design software, CRM tools, and Patiova's products.
- High School Diploma or equivalent required.
- 1–3 years of experience in consultative sales, interior design, showroom sales, space planning, furniture sales, or a related field preferred.
- Experience in outdoor living, residential construction, custom cabinetry, furniture, or similar industries is a plus.
- Proficient with Microsoft Office, including Excel, Word, and Outlook.
- Comfortable learning 3D design and rendering software and CRM systems.
- NetSuite experience is a plus.
- Formal education or training in Interior Design, Architecture, Marketing, Business, or a related field is a plus.
- Ability to read measurements and translate dimensions into practical product and layout recommendations.
- Valid driver's license and reliable transportation.
- Primarily office/showroom-based work with extended periods using a computer and design software.
- Ability to walk through indoor and outdoor display areas with customers.
- Ability to demonstrate furniture and product features in showroom and outdoor settings.
- Ability to navigate varied outdoor terrain and access product displays.
- Ability to occasionally lift and maneuver product samples, fabric swatches, catalogs, and event materials weighing up to 25 lbs.
- Occasional travel for customer visits, trade shows, home shows, and company events.
- $75,000-$85,000 total compensation (base pay + commission)
- Monday–Friday, schedule with occasional Saturday at Retail store
