FX Trader - Data Analytics

What We Need
Corpay is currently looking to hire a FX Trader -Data Analytics. This position falls under our Cross Border line of business and is located in Toronto, Canada. In this role, will execute and manage foreign exchange positions across major and emerging market currencies while leveraging advanced data analytics to enhance trading decisions, optimize pricing, and improve risk management. Reporting directly to the Director of Trading, you will have strong market intuition combined with the ability to extract insights from large datasets to drive profitability, efficiency, and strategic decision-making.

Roles Responsibilities
Trading & Market Execution

Executing spot, forwards, NDFs, and options strategies in line with risk limits, client requirements, and market conditions.
Monitoring and manage intraday trading positions, ensuring adherence to risk parameters and regulatory requirements.
Providing real‑time pricing, liquidity management, and market color to sales, operations, and leadership teams.
Identifying short-term opportunities through market analysis, order flow patterns, and macroeconomic developments.

Data Analytics & Quantitative Insights

Building analytical dashboards and models to improve pricing accuracy, risk forecasting, and P&L attribution.
Using Python, R, SQL, Power BI, or similar tools to automate repetitive processes and generate actionable insights.
Applying statistical methods and machine learning techniques to analyze market behavior, volatility clustering, liquidity patterns, or client-flow dynamics.
Developing back‑testing frameworks for trading strategies, hedging models, and scenario analysis.

Risk Management

Monitoring market, liquidity, and counterparty risk exposures; implement risk‑mitigation strategies when necessary.
Collaborating with treasury, credit, and operations teams to ensure smooth margining, collateral, and settlement processes.
Reporting daily P&L drivers, risk metrics (VaR, stress tests, Greeks for options), and performance commentary.

Collaboration & Communication

Working closely with Sales, Quant, and Operations teams to deliver competitive pricing and high-quality execution.
Presenting trading performance, model results, and market insights to senior management regularly.
Contributing to continuous improvement of trading systems, analytics tools, and workflow efficiencies.

Qualifications & Skills

Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Economics, Mathematics, Engineering, Data Science, or related field.
2+ years of experience in FX trading (buy-side, sell-side, or corporate risk management).
Strong understanding of FX instruments: spot, forwards, NDFs, swaps, and options.
Proficiency in data analytics tools: Python, R, SQL, Power BI, Excel VBA, or equivalent.
Solid grasp of quantitative concepts: probability, time series analysis, regression, optimization.
Ability to thrive in a fast-paced trading environment with precise attention to detail.
Experience with market data APIs (Bloomberg, Refinitiv, 360T, EBS).
Knowledge of automation workflows or cloud tools (Azure, AWS, Airflow) is an asset.

Consistent contribution to desk P&L with strong risk‑adjusted performance.
Improvement in pricing efficiency, hit ratios, or liquidity costs through analytics.
Reduction in operational errors or manual workloads via automation.
Ability to translate data insights into practical trading decisions and strategy improvements.

Pay Transparency
This salary range is provided for locations which require such disclosure. Where a position or applicant may fall in a particular wage range depends on a number of factors including but not limited to skill sets, experience training licenses and certifications (if applicable), and other business and organization needs. The disclosed range has not been adjusted for the applicable geographic markets. At Corpay it is not typical for an individual to be hired at or near the top of the range for their role and compensation decisions depend on the facts and circumstances of each case. The estimate of the minimum and maximum salary range is CAD $55,000 to 80,000.
