A freelance Finance Data Analyst (contract until year-end with extensions) working hybrid near Mechelen to support a client's migration from SAP BW to Databricks. The role bridges Finance and IT: gathering finance reporting requirements, analyzing SAP BW finance data, and translating them into data models and solutions in Databricks.
Our client is looking for a Finance Data Analyst to support the migration from SAP BW to Databricks. The role sits between Finance and IT, ensuring business requirements are translated into effective data models and solutions.
Responsibilities
- Act as the link between Finance stakeholders and technical teams.
- Gather and translate Finance reporting requirements into data solutions.
- Analyse existing SAP BW Finance data and reporting structures.
- Support the migration of Finance objects to Databricks.
- Assess the feasibility of data models and reporting requirements.
- Ensure data quality and consistency throughout the migration.
- Work closely with business users, data engineers, and architects.
Required experience
- 5 years of experience within similar roles.
- Strong understanding of Finance processes and reporting.
- Ability to translate business requirements into data models.
- Experience working with data warehouses and analytics platforms.
- Experience within either SAP or Databricks. Both is a huge bonus
- Strong communication and stakeholder management skills.
Logistics
- Hybrid working near Mechelen (2 days onsite, 3 days remote)
- Contract until the end of the year+ extensions.
