g2 Recruitment Solutions - Guidewire Implementation Product Owner + Business Analyst
The Product Owner will take ownership of PolicyCenter and Product Definition, working closely with business stakeholders, Business Analysts, configuration developers and other members of a distributed Agile delivery team.
Key responsibilities
- Take Product Ownership for Guidewire PolicyCenter / Product Definition
- Define and prioritise business and functional requirements
- Build, maintain and prioritise the product backlog
- Translate requirements into clear user stories together with the Business Analysts
- Drive scope and priorities throughout the different delivery phases
- Contribute to solution design and ensure alignment between business and technical teams
- Provide direction and partial leadership to the Scrum team
- Work closely with 3 - 4 Business Analysts and Guidewire configuration developers
- Coordinate with stakeholders and project team members across multiple locations
- Support the upcoming inception phase and subsequent build and delivery activities

- Greenfield Guidewire Cloud implementation
- Focus on Commercial Insurance
- PolicyCenter and Product Definition at the core of the role
- Scrum team of approximately 10 people, including 3-4 Business Analysts and configuration developers
- International/distributed project environment
- First release currently moving into User Acceptance Testing
- Next release starts with an inception phase covering requirements, solution design and user-story backlog creation
- Earlier onboarding preferred to build project and policy knowledge ahead of the next major delivery phase
- Freelance / Long-term

- Strong experience as a Product Owner within complex IT transformation programs
- Previous Guidewire experience, with PolicyCenter being particularly relevant
- Good understanding of insurance policy and product processes
- Strong experience with backlog management, requirements, prioritisation and user stories
- Insurance experience; Non-Life/ P&C experience is highly relevant
- Commercial Insurance experience is an advantage but not a strict requirement
- Strong Agile/Scrum experience
- Able to bridge business, functional and technical stakeholders
- Comfortable providing direction to a multidisciplinary and distributed Scrum team
- Strong stakeholder management and communication skills
- Professional working English
