Job Description: Graduate Assistant in the Office of Enrollment Management and Student Affairs
- The Graduate Assistant position will assist the Enrollment Data Manager in the office of Enrollment Management and Student Affairs with ad-hoc data reporting and analyses requests.
- Responsible for extracting meaningful insights from disparate data sources that would support the division in determining and implementing strategies aimed at increasing and improving student access & success.
- Utilize data to create statistical models and actionable dashboards that depicts trends in the student information database as a whole.
- Identify and recommend ways to improve and streamline business processes.
- Other duties as assigned.
Qualifications:
- Must be proficient in Microsoft Office with an emphasis on MS Excel.
- Database experience in Oracle.
- Must be proficient in SQL.
- Must have experience in writing programs and using any Advanced Analytics and BI tools.
- Knowledge of Data Visualization techniques.
- Must maintain a high degree of confidentiality.
- Detail orientated and highly organized.
- Strong writing and verbal communication skills.
- Enrolled in a graduate degree at East Texas A&M
- Ability to prioritize duties and adapt to changes.
- Work well with others, including students and staff.
- Ability to be self-managed, stay on task, and research solutions independently.
