Build More Than Financial Statements. Help Build the Future of Evolve Steel.

At Evolve Steel, we believe strong financial discipline is just as important as strong structural steel. We're looking for a detail-oriented GAAP Accountant who thrives in a fast-paced, project-driven environment and enjoys partnering with operations, project managers, and leadership to ensure financial accuracy and accountability.

This role is ideal for an accounting professional who enjoys both traditional financial reporting and the unique challenges of construction and project accounting. You'll play a critical role in maintaining GAAP compliance, supporting financial reporting, strengthening internal controls, and ensuring project documentation is complete and accurate.

Your work will directly support project profitability, financial reporting accuracy, and operational success across the organization.

Partner Across the Business

Collaborate closely with Project Managers, Purchasing, Operations, Leadership, vendors, and subcontractors to drive accountability and improve financial processes.

As Evolve Steel continues to grow, you'll have opportunities to expand your responsibilities and help build scalable accounting processes for the future.

Challenge Yourself

This isn't a behind-the-scenes accounting role. You'll be actively involved in project support, compliance management, financial analysis, and process improvement.

  • Support monthly, quarterly, and annual financial reporting processes
  • Prepare journal entries, accruals, reconciliations, and supporting schedules

Construction Accounting & Project Financial Support

  • Assist with job-cost reporting and project financial analysis
  • Review and maintain subcontract agreements, purchase orders, and change orders
  • Monitor project accounting activities and contractual compliance
  • Coordinate with project teams to ensure timely and accurate financial reporting
  • Verify documentation requirements prior to payment processing

Compliance & Internal Controls

  • Maintain project compliance documentation, including lien waivers, vendor records, and executed agreements
  • Identify opportunities to improve accounting processes and internal controls
  • Ensure company accounting procedures are consistently followed
  • Maintain organized records to support audits and operational needs

Business Partnership

  • Work closely with project managers, operations leaders, vendors, and subcontractors
  • Follow up on missing documentation and compliance items
  • Communicate financial requirements clearly and professionally
  • Help protect the company's financial interests through disciplined process management

The Ideal Candidate

You are highly organized, detail-oriented, and proactive. You take ownership of your work, enjoy solving problems, and aren't afraid to hold others accountable to established processes. You can confidently partner with operational teams while maintaining the integrity of the company's financial records and controls.
