Job Summary
Join us as a Gallery Assistant to engage visitors with our unique art collection, support gallery operations, and build relationships with collectors and enthusiasts.
Responsibilities
- Guide local and international visitors through the collection, explaining the history and significance of artworks to enhance their experience
- Build and maintain relationships with art collectors and walk-in visitors by managing inquiries in person and via email
- Maintain the gallery’s visual presentation by ensuring artworks are displayed securely and attractively
- Support inventory management and perform basic administrative tasks to keep gallery operations running smoothly
- Coordinate international shipments, private viewings, and gallery events to support gallery activities
- Communicate clearly and professionally with diverse audiences to create a welcoming environment
Required competencies and certifications
- Fluency in English to communicate effectively with visitors and clients
Preferred competencies and qualifications
- Ability to speak a second language such as Mandarin, French, or German to connect with a diverse global clientele
- Genuine passion for culture, heritage, history, or craftsmanship
- Strong curiosity and eagerness to learn about unique art collections through research and reading
