Responsibilities
- Design games of multiple genres and build mathematical/statistical models, using data-driven analysis to validate design assumptions before implementation.
- Analyze player metrics and behavioral data to identify trends, optimize retention, and inform game design decisions.
- Conduct research, run simulations, and rigorously verify results (RTP, volatility, hit frequency) before delivery.
- Communicate analytical findings clearly to stakeholders and cross-functional teammates, translating data into actionable recommendations.
- Answer technical questions about math implementation and troubleshoot discrepancies between expected and actual results.
- Estimate cost and timeline for high-complexity projects based on data-informed risk assessment.
- Create documentation for game math, analytical processes, and tools.
- Understand player profiles and behavioral patterns to inform new product development.
Requirements
- Bachelor's or Master's degree in Mathematics, Statistics, or a related quantitative field.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills — able to interpret complex datasets, identify patterns, and translate findings into design or business recommendations.
- Solid expertise in mathematics, statistics, probability theory, and combinatorics.
- Hands-on data analysis experience with Excel and/or Python/R; experience with data visualization is a plus.
- Knowledge of random number generators (RNG).
- Advanced knowledge of gaming products and mechanics.
- Strong oral and written communication skills in English — able to present analytical results to non-technical stakeholders.
- 2+ years of experience building mathematical models in the gaming industry is a plus.
- Psychology or behavioral science knowledge is a plus.
