Gaming Cashier
Job Description
- Maintains and reconciles a cash drawer, and secures cash, coupons, forms, and other related inventory associated with cashiering and casino sports wagering duties.
- Issues sports wagering tickets, pays guests, and assists guests with kiosk usage when needed.
- Exchanges cash or coupons for customers in strict adherence with established procedures.
- Cashes checks for customers in accordance with company and regulatory guidelines.
- Prepares, issues, and receives banks for team members in other departments.
- Assists Slot Operations in preparing jackpot payouts for customers.
- Maintains and secures all cash and cash equivalents, ensuring accurate reporting and financial transactions through the POS system.
- Performs all cashiering duties in assigned areas as requested, including special assignments.
- Evaluates the quality of service provided by cashiering personnel relative to company service and operating standards, offering immediate positive and constructive feedback.
- Handles customer complaints and seeks supervisory support when appropriate.
- When functioning as Front Window Cashier, Main Bank Cashier, Chip Bank Cashier, or Gaming Cashier, performs all related duties in accordance with Internal Control Section 465a.16.
- Ensures complete compliance with AML and Title 31 procedures, maintaining accurate tracking and documentation.
- When possible, works the entire shift in either the sportsbook or the cage; may be reassigned once per shift and must remain in that area for the remainder of the shift.
Sports Wagering Duties:

Inputs betting information into the system, prints tickets, accepts payment, and issues wagering tickets to guests.

Accurately maintains and reconciles a bank at the end of each shift.

Verifies winning tickets with supervisor or manager approval when required.

Serves as a point of contact for guests with questions about sports wagering and bet placement.

Communicates any issues or concerns to management promptly.

Notifies management immediately of equipment malfunctions, ticketing issues, or guest-related concerns.

Provides exceptional customer service to all guests within the facility.

Performs all other duties as assigned, including acting as a Pit Clerk when necessary
Qualifications -
- High School Diploma or G.E.D. required. Knowledge of standard cage and internal control procedures preferred. Must have excellent customer service, math and money handling skills.
- Must be able to lift, bend, kneel, stand, walk, push, pull, and carry weight for a full 8 hour shift. Must be able to work all shifts, and weekends/holidays as required. Must be able to communicate effectively in English, both verbally and through written communications.
