Salary Range: $67,618-$101,427

Typical Starting Wage Range: $67,618-$84,523

Position Summary:

The Gaming Operations Manager is responsible for the day-to-day management of Table Games, Poker, Bingo, and Pull Tabs. This position directly manages staff within these gaming areas and is responsible for staffing, scheduling, employee performance, training, guest service, labor management, regulatory compliance, and the overall daily execution of assigned gaming operations.


The Gaming Operations Manager is expected to maintain a strong presence throughout assigned gaming areas, provide consistent leadership across all shifts, and ensure Table Games, Poker, Bingo, and Pull Tabs operations are conducted efficiently, professionally, and in accordance with established policies, procedures, internal controls, and regulatory requirements.


Working under the direction of the Director of Casino Operations, this position is responsible for executing departmental goals and strategies within assigned gaming areas while identifying opportunities to improve gaming performance, operational efficiency, employee development, and the guest experience.


Core Duties and Responsibilities:

The Gaming Operations Manager is responsible for the following duties:

  • Direct and manage the daily operations of Table Games, Poker, Bingo, and Pull Tabs, ensuring appropriate staffing, game availability, operational coverage, guest service, and adherence to established procedures.
  • Provide direct leadership and management to supervisors, leads, and frontline employees within Table Games, Poker, Bingo, and Pull Tabs, including scheduling, staffing, attendance, performance management, coaching, corrective action, evaluations, and employee development.
  • Participate in hiring, promotion, transfer, discipline, and termination decisions and ensure employees receive appropriate training and opportunities for continued development and advancement.
  • Manage departmental staffing and labor based on business volumes and operational needs, including monitoring overtime and maintaining labor within established expectations.
  • Maintain a visible management presence across assigned gaming operations and varying shifts, responding to gaming disputes, guest concerns, staffing issues, equipment concerns, and other daily operational matters.
  • Oversee the operational requirements specific to Table Games, Poker, Bingo, and Pull Tabs, including game protection, cash handling, inventory accountability, required documentation, and equipment availability, as applicable.
  • Monitor activity and performance within assigned gaming areas to identify opportunities to improve game utilization, participation, guest engagement, operational efficiency, and revenue.
  • Assist the Director of Casino Operations in achieving established gaming revenue, labor, and financial goals by reviewing performance information, communicating significant trends and opportunities, and executing approved gaming strategies and operational improvements.
  • Work collaboratively with Marketing and Player Development to support gaming promotions, tournaments, events, and other initiatives designed to increase play, participation, and guest retention.
  • Ensure employees within assigned gaming areas consistently provide professional, friendly, and attentive guest service and that guest complaints and concerns are addressed promptly and appropriately.
  • Ensure assigned gaming operations comply with applicable Tribal Gaming Regulations, internal controls, policies, procedures, and regulatory requirements, including accurate and timely completion of required gaming documentation and records.
  • Work cooperatively with the Gaming Commission, Internal Compliance, Surveillance, Security, Finance, Human Resources, and other departments to address operational, regulatory, employee, and business needs.
  • Promptly report significant compliance concerns, procedural violations, suspicious activity, or other significant gaming matters and assist with corrective actions resulting from audits, compliance reviews, or operational findings.
  • Assist with the development, implementation, and review of gaming policies, procedures, SOPs, and internal controls.
  • Conduct regular communication and meetings with supervisors and leads within assigned gaming areas to maintain consistency across departments and shifts and provide regular operational updates to the Director of Casino Operations.
  • Perform other duties as assigned.

Qualifications – Education and Experience:

Minimum Qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s degree in finance, Business, or related field. Or Minimum of three (3) years of casino gaming operations experience required.
  • Minimum of two (2) years of supervisory or management experience in casino gaming or a related operation preferred.
  • Experience in more than one area of gaming operations is preferred.
  • Working knowledge of casino gaming operations, regulations, internal controls, and procedures.
  • Demonstrated ability to effectively manage and develop employees.
  • Strong leadership, communication, organizational, problem-solving, and decision-making skills.
  • Ability to manage employee performance and resolve operational and guest service issues.
  • Basic understanding of gaming financial performance, departmental labor management, and budgeting.
  • Ability to work effectively with employees, management, regulatory personnel, guests, and other departments.
  • Must be able to obtain and maintain all required gaming licenses.

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Master's degree in business management or a related field, or a minimum of 5 years of experience in Gaming operations with 3 years in a leadership role.
  • Management experience involving Table Games, Poker, Bingo, and/or Pull Tabs
  • Experience in tribal casino environment.
  • Experience with gaming performance analysis, labor management, employee development, and regulatory compliance.

Physical Demands:

Job-specific abilities and requirements include:

Ability to stand, sit, and walk for extended periods of time.

Ability to read and interpret documents in English, such as safety rules, operating and maintenance instructions and procedure manuals.

Ability to perform repetitive motion from use of a computer.
