Garden Center Team Member - Seasonal

Looking for an adventurous, outdoor opportunity? We are in need of a team member to close out our garden season and do clean-up for this year for approximately 3-4 weeks and then, work in the Spring from April through August for the next gardening season. This is perfect for a college student or someone who is looking for a seasonal opportunity. This role has the potential to grow into a full-time position in another capacity!

Job Summary:

Responsible for the Garden Center including merchandising for container plants, hanging baskets, perennials, annuals, vegetables, succulents, and other seasonal items. Clean-up of debris and materials post-season and properly winterize trees.

Essential Functions:

· Provide excellent customer service.

· Balancing sales goals with inventory levels within the Garden Center.

· Unloading, moving and consolidating plants.

· Discard old product, refresh plants.

· Follow safety rules and aware of trip hazards.

· Stock tables with merchandise.

· Ensure proper signage is in place always.

· Ability to work independently.

· Ability to use point-of-sale (POS) system.

· Strong communication skills.

· Perform other duties as needed.
