Maintains and cares for plants, gardens, and an aquaponics system in a school setting.
Job Description
- Maintain and care for planted and potted plants.
- Water, prune, fertilise, mulch and weed plants.
- Manage seedlings and plant transplanting.
- Monitor plant health and handle pest issues.
- Perform minor maintenance of automatic irrigation systems.
- Support herb, fruit and thematic gardens.
- Maintain the school’s aquaponics system.
- Perform other gardening duties as assigned
Requirements
- Certificate in Horticulture, Landscape Maintenance ,Urban Farming, or related field preferred.
- Minimum 3 years’ gardening experience, preferably in a commercial setting.
- Experience growing flowers and herbs preferred.
- School gardening experience will be an advantage
