Gas Fireplace Service Technician
Summary
Field technician repairs and replaces gas fireplace components, performs chimney sweeps, and handles related installations for residential heating systems.
This position works on repairs and replacement of fireplace components.
Duties Include:
- Gas fireplace SERVICE experience (5 years minimum)
- Trouble shooting, repair and replacement of gas and electric fireplace components, including pilot assemblies, snap disks, glass, doors, etc.
- Serviceable brands include Travis, Mendota, Ortal, Lopi, Blaze King, Valor, Jotul and more
- Chimney sweeps of wood stoves and inserts
- Level 2 camera inspection experience
- Heat Shield and PCR treatment experience
- Capable of light installs of gas log sets
- Understanding of supplier tech support usage
- Capable of taking measurements for installations
- Chimney sweep and chimney service experience a plus
- Pellet experience a plus
- CSIA and/or NFI certs a plus
- Must be good with heights
- Understanding of codes and regualtions
- Good working independently and as part of the team
- Great sales and customer service skills
- Strong salary for the ideal candidate
- On-field sales and up-sales commission included
- OT during peak season
- Year-round work
