Job Responsibilities
As a Truck Gate Security Guard, you will play a critical role in securing the facility, controlling vehicle access, and ensuring the safety of personnel, visitors, and company assets.
Duties Include:
- Monitor and control truck and vehicle access at facility entry and exit points
- Verify driver credentials, shipping documentation, and delivery information
- Inspect incoming and outgoing vehicles in accordance with site procedures
- Maintain accurate gate logs and vehicle activity records
- Monitor surveillance cameras and security systems
- Conduct routine patrols of the facility and surrounding areas
- Enforce site security policies and regulations
- Report suspicious activity, security incidents, and safety concerns
- Communicate effectively with drivers, visitors, warehouse personnel, and management
- Complete detailed incident and daily activity reports
- Maintain a professional and customer-service-oriented presence at all times
Qualifications
Required:
- Valid Texas Driver’s License
- Clean driving record
- Clean criminal background
- Ability to pass a pre-employment drug screening
- Active Texas Security Guard License
- Strong verbal and written communication skills
- Reliable transportation and dependable attendance
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team
Preferred:
- Previous truck gate security experience
- Warehouse or distribution center experience
- Experience verifying shipping paperwork and bills of lading
- Familiarity with access control systems and security technology
