SDG Group Italy is seeking a Cloud Infrastructure Engineer to design and deploy scalable cloud environments, primarily on Google Cloud Platform, with automation and governance baked in. You will implement IaC, CI/CD, and GitOps practices, collaborating with global teams to ensure secure and efficient data platforms.
The role requires 2+ years in GCP, containerization with Docker, orchestration via Kubernetes, and strong Python scripting.
Design and deployment of cloud infrastructures: mainly in GCP, expanding to other clouds as needed. Develop IaC scripts and templates to automate deployment of cloud resources using Terraform, Deployment Manager, or CloudFormation. Evaluate and optimize cloud architectures for performance, cost, and reliability. Implement GitOps processes to automate deployment and management of infrastructures. Write scripts (Python or bash) to automate tasks and manage infrastructure. Configure CI/CD pipelines to deliver infrastructure changes efficiently with minimal disruption. Stay up-to-date with best practices and advances in cloud services. Degree in Computer Engineering or Telecommunications or equivalent training. +2 years of experience in managing infrastructures in GCP environments and Python development. Experience with IaC (Terraform, Deployment Manager) and CI/CD for data pipelines and platforms. Containerization with Docker and orchestration via Kubernetes for scalable data infrastructures. GCP Security & Governance: IAM, RBAC, Secret Manager, Zero Trust, data compliance. Communicate in English to work with global teams.
