An 8-month contract GCP Data Architect role in Bristol (hybrid, 2 days/week on-site) supporting a finance transformation programme. The architect leads solution and data architecture — modelling, ingestion, transformation, storage and consumption — using BigQuery, Dataflow, Pub/Sub, Composer and IAM, while guiding engineering teams and defining reusable architecture patterns.
We're seeking a GCP Data Architect for an 8-month contract in Bristol, supporting a finance transformation programme. This is a hands-on opportunity to shape scalable cloud data solutions and guide engineering teams.
You'll lead solution and data architecture across modelling, ingestion, transformation, storage and consumption, ensuring alignment with governance, security and compliance. You'll develop architecture roadmaps, define reusable patterns and influence decisions across teams.
Key Skills:
- GCP architecture across BigQuery, Dataflow, Pub/Sub, Composer and IAM
- Advanced data modelling: 3NF, Data Vault and dimensional modelling
- Metadata, lineage, data governance and reference data
- Finance data flows covering ledger, MI, reconciliation and reporting
- Enterprise-scale, cross-team solution architecture
- Terraform and CI/CD knowledge is desirable
Hybrid: 2 days per week in the Bristol office.
