Summary
Designs, develops, and maintains Java/Spring Boot microservices and REST APIs on Google Cloud Platform, deploying and troubleshooting cloud-native apps with Docker, Kubernetes (GKE), Cloud Run, Pub/Sub, and Cloud SQL. Day to day includes coding, deployments, integrations, debugging production issues, and code reviews.
We are looking for experienced GCP / Java Developers with 3–5 years of hands-on experience in Java, Spring Boot, REST API development, microservices architecture, and Google Cloud Platform (GCP). The ideal candidate should have experience developing, deploying, and maintaining cloud-native applications using GCP services, Docker, and Kubernetes.
The candidate should possess strong programming, troubleshooting, and problem-solving skills, with the ability to build scalable, secure, reliable, and high-performance applications.
Key Responsibilities
Design, develop, test, and maintain enterprise applications using Java and Spring Boot.
Develop and maintain RESTful APIs and microservices-based applications.
Build scalable and reliable cloud-native applications using Google Cloud Platform (GCP).
Deploy, manage, and troubleshoot applications on GCP services such as Google Kubernetes Engine (GKE) and Cloud Run.
Work with GCP services, including Pub/Sub, Cloud SQL, and Cloud Storage, to support application integration, messaging, database operations, and file storage.
Containerize applications using Docker and deploy them using Kubernetes.
Implement application integrations with internal and external systems through REST APIs and cloud services.
Work with relational databases and perform database operations, query optimization, and data persistence using Cloud SQL.
Implement asynchronous communication and event-driven processing using Google Cloud Pub/Sub.
Manage application configurations, deployments, logs, and runtime issues in cloud environments.
Troubleshoot application defects, performance bottlenecks, deployment failures, and production issues.
Follow coding standards, development best practices, and secure coding principles.
Collaborate with architects, DevOps engineers, QA teams, and other developers to deliver high-quality software.
Participate in code reviews, unit testing, debugging, and continuous improvement activities.
Contribute to application scalability, availability, maintainability, and overall system performance.

Requirements
3–5 years of professional software development experience.
Strong hands-on experience in Java and Spring Boot.
Practical experience developing REST APIs and microservices.
Working knowledge of GCP services, preferably GKE, Cloud Run, Pub/Sub, Cloud SQL, and Cloud Storage.
Experience with Docker and Kubernetes.
Strong analytical, debugging, troubleshooting, and problem-solving skills.
Good communication skills and the ability to work collaboratively with cross-functional teams.
