GCP Solution Architect (BigQuery & Spanner)

Must Have Technical/Functional Skills

• More years of IT experience with at least 5 years in Architect roles.

• Strong hands-on experience in Google Cloud Platform (GCP).

• Expertise in:

o Google BigQuery

o Google Cloud Spanner

o Cloud Architecture & Design

o Data Platform Modernization

o High Availability & Scalability Design

o Security & Compliance Architecture

• Strong understanding of distributed systems and cloud-native design patterns.

• Experience in technical governance and architecture reviews.

• Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills.

Roles & Responsibilities

• Design and implement enterprise-scale solutions on Google Cloud Platform.

• Define target-state architecture for cloud-native applications and data platforms.

• Lead architecture discussions with business stakeholders, product owners, and

development teams.

• Design data warehousing and analytics solutions using BigQuery.

• Architect globally scalable transactional systems using Cloud Spanner.

• Drive cloud migration and modernization strategies from legacy platforms to GCP.

• Establish architecture standards, design principles, security controls, and

governance processes.

• Provide technical leadership to development, DevOps, and data engineering teams.

• Conduct architecture reviews, performance assessments, and solution

optimization.

• Work closely with stakeholders to translate business requirements into technology

solutions.
