General Accountant

We're a San Francisco-based technology company transforming property management accounting through AI and world-class accounting services. This role is 100% remote in Mexico.

Role & Responsibilities
As a General Accountant, you will manage the accounting processes for a portfolio of U.S.-based clients, ensuring accurate financial reporting and timely month-end close.

Role & Responsibilities :

• Prepare and post journal entries.
• Perform bank reconciliations and investigate discrepancies.
• Prepare financial statements and support month-end close.
• Review AP and AR transactions to ensure accuracy.
• Maintain general ledger accuracy and resolve accounting issues.
• Respond to client inquiries via email and internal ticketing systems.
• Follow company SOPs while maintaining quality and meeting deadlines.
• Collaborate with internal teams to improve accounting processes.

Requirements

• Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field.
• 2–5 years of general accounting experience.
• Experience with bank reconciliations, financial statements, and month-end close.
• Solid understanding of accounting principles (GAAP preferred).
• Intermediate-Advanced English (B1+ minimum).
• Strong Excel skills and attention to detail.
• Ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment.

Preferred Qualifications

• Experience supporting U.S.-based clients.
• Experience with QuickBooks, Yardi, AppFolio, NetSuite, SAP, Oracle, or similar ERPs.
• Property management or real estate accounting experience is a plus.
• Experience working in a Shared Service Center (SSC) or startup environment.
• Strong communication, organization, and problem-solving skills.
