General Accountant

We are seeking a detail-oriented General Accountant to join our finance team in the Mumbai region. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in general accounting practices and will be responsible for maintaining accurate financial records, managing ledgers, and ensuring timely monthly closings. This role is crucial for the financial health of our organization and requires a proactive approach to problem-solving and a keen eye for detail. Key Responsibilities: - Maintain and manage the general ledger, ensuring all transactions are recorded accurately and in a timely manner. - Prepare monthly financial statements and reports, providing insights into financial performance and variances. - Assist in the monthly closing process, ensuring all entries are completed and reconciled. - Collaborate with other departments to gather necessary financial data and support budgeting and forecasting activities. - Ensure compliance with accounting standards and regulations, and assist in audits as required. - Identify areas for process improvement within the accounting function and implement best practices.
