General Accounting Specialist - France

About the role

We are looking for a General Accounting Specialist to take on the comprehensive management of general accounting and financial operations for the French subsidiary of an international industrial company. The position offers high autonomy and responsibility within a multinational environment, reporting to the Finance Manager and collaborating with international teams, therefore a fluent command of both English and French is required.

What you'll do

• Management of general accounting and recording of financial operations.
• Preparation of monthly, quarterly, and annual closings.
• Reconciliation of balance sheet accounts and analysis of variances.
• Accounting management of accounts payable and accounts receivable.
• Monitoring and reconciliation of intercompany operations.
• Coordination of tax obligations (VAT and other taxes) together with external advisors.
• Control and accounting of fixed assets and depreciation.
• Preparation of documentation for internal and external audits.
• Preparation of financial reporting for the Group.
• Continuous coordination with international finance teams and the French subsidiary.

About the company & team

Our client is an international industrial company with a presence in different European markets. You will be part of the finance department, participating in the accounting and tax management of the French entity and collaborating with local and international stakeholders.

Who are we looking for (M/F/D)?

We are looking for professionals who provide:

• Degree in Business Administration, Finance, Accounting, or similar.
• Between 4 and 5 years of experience in general accounting.
• Experience in accounting month-end closes, reconciliations, accounts payable/receivable, and taxation.
• Previous experience in multinational or industrial environments is valued.
• High level of French and English, both oral and written (essential)
• Good proficiency in Excel and experience with ERP.
• An autonomous, analytical, organized profile oriented towards detail.
• Ability to work with multiple stakeholders in an international environment.
