GENERAL ATTORNEY

This position for The Defense Information Systems Agency is at Fort Meade, Maryland, and Scott Air Force Base, Illinois. This is a public notice flyer to notify interested applicants of anticipated vacancies. Applications will not be accepted through this flyer. This position is in the excepted service. It is filled by an alternative hiring process and is not in the competitive civil service.

Provide advice and assistance to the DISA management staff on all administrative legal matters.

Provide legal support to the designated DISA Program Managers for various programs such as Ethics in Government, Freedom of Information, the Privacy Act, Reasonable Accommodation, Anti-Harassment, etc.

Prepare and present cases on behalf of the agency before the Equal Employment Opportunity Commission (EEOC), Merit Systems Protection Board (MSPB), and/or any other personnel, employment, or labor law related administrative or judicial forum.

Assist the General Counsel in the legal review and approval of various aspects of civilian personnel management such as employee participation in outside activities or private associations, equal employment matters and adverse actions.

Serve as an alternate Ethics and Standards of Conduct counselor.
