General Cleaner: Nassau County Long Island

Signature Cleaning Services Inc. of Long Island is seeking a dedicated and detail-oriented General Cleaner/Porter to perform a variety of cleaning tasks across different job sites in Nassau County, Long Island. The responsibilities will vary based on the specific requirements of each site.

Essential Functions:

• Collect and dispose of garbage
• Sweep and mop floors; vacuum carpets; clean restrooms
• Dust and wipe high-touch areas
• Ensure building entrances are always free of clutter
• Address minor technical issues, such as changing light bulbs
• Report damages, coordinate with technicians, and oversee repairs
• Maintain inventory of cleaning supplies
• Place safety hazard signs, including wet paint and wet floor signs
• Respond to major spills or other cleaning emergencies
• Adhere to health and safety regulations

Salary: $16 to $18 per hour
