GENERAL CLERK II - PROCUREMENT

SUMMARY

The General Clerk II assists the purchasing department and aids inventory control through data entry from reports and work orders.

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES include the following. Other duties may be assigned:

• Assign stock numbers to requisitions and log them.
• Input and file Purchase Orders.
• Process materials daily from DMO’s and OWO’s.
• File “Certs and Reps” and insurance updates daily and ensure they are kept up to date.
• May be required to perform other tasks as requested by supervisor.

QUALIFICATIONS

• Must have data entry skills and experience using current computer software applications.
• Must be proficient in Excel.
• Must be able to qualify for security clearance within one month.
• Must have a valid driver’s license.

EDUCATION and/or EXPERIENCE

• High school diploma or GED required.
• Minimum of 2 years’ related experience.
• Each complete year of accredited college education in a related field may be substituted for the equivalent number of years of required experience.

COMMUNICATION SKILLS

Must have the ability to respond to common inquiries or complaints from customers, managers and staff members.
