General Engineer (Project Manager)
Summary
Manages military construction and facility modernization projects for a U.S. Army arsenal, coordinating engineering teams and stakeholders to ensure on-time, on-budget execution.
This is a Direct Hire Authority (DHA) solicitation utilizing the DHA for Domestic Defense Industrial Base (DIB) & MRTFB in DoD to recruit and appoint qualified candidates to positions in the competitive service. About the Position: The Watervliet Arsenal is an Army-owned and operated manufacturing center located in New York. It is the oldest, continuously active arsenal in the United States having begun operations in 1813.
Responsible for tracking and facilitating the execution of assigned projects within the Military Construction (MILCON) and Operations and Maintenance, Army - Restoration and Modernization (OMA RM) programs from conception to completion
Coordinates all required project reviews and ensures that all relevant stakeholders have an opportunity to engage in the project at the appropriate times.
Works with inter-disciplinary engineering teams, resource management, and field quality control personnel to monitor and record project status.
Coordinates between Planning and Real Property, Facilities Engineering, Facilities Maintenance, and Manufacturing to identify and resolve conflict areas in schedule, cost, execution risk, and space for their assigned projects.
Elevating conflicts and proposed resolutions when appropriate.
