General Engineer

About the Position: Serve as senior technical specialist in the design, development, and modernization of AmmunitionPeculiar Equipment (APE) and related technology.

Provide technical direction of lower grade employees from within and outside the organization during the design and construction or modification of APE and associated subsystems.

Responsible for overall system configuration from concept development through final acceptance and turnover to the customer.

Plan and coordinate programs or projects which are innovative and original.

Overcome and/or resolve critical or unusually difficult problems caused by lack of funding, critical time frames, and other similar problems.

Review technical proposals and recommends procurement action.

Represent the Ammunition Peculiar Equipment Division in meetings and conferences at other installations to resolve problems, discuss the development, maintenance, and revision of procedures unique to APE.

Perform hazardous waste management duties and/or hazardous waste worker duties in permitted or regulated facilities.
