General Engineer

This is a Direct Hire Authority (DHA) solicitation utilizing the DHA for Certain Personnel of the DoD Workforce to recruit and appoint qualified candidates to positions in the competitive service. About the Position: Serves as a General Engineer managing project scope of work, designs and cost estimates for construction, maintenance programs with a preferred understanding in Arctic engineering.

Responsible for planning of facilities engineering projects in terms of project development, scope of work, cost estimate breakdown by construction features and designs, plans and special requirements of an Army base operation.

Determines nature of, and develops engineering design criteria for construction and/or repair and maintenance of various facilities.

Reviews planning, design and construction plans, interprets specifications applying to particular projects and planning criteria.

During project construction, interprets intent and purpose of project contract specifications and plans.
