L & S is looking for a General Shop Labor. We are seeking a self-motivated professional that has excellent problem-solving, attention to detail, communication skills, and is able to work well in a team environment.

Requirements:

· You have your High School Diploma or Equivalent.

· You’re a self-starter with a positive attitude.

· Able to wear required Personal Protective Equipment.

· Some experience, with hand and power tools.

· Have basic mechanical knowledge.

· Able to stand for 8 hours per day with the ability to occasionally lift up to 50 lbs.

· Are comfortable using your hands for grasping pushing, pulling, tightening, adjusting and fine manipulation of different size objects.

· You enjoy working in a shop environment.

· Fluent in English: verbal and written communication.

· Authorized to work for any employer in the United States.

Responsibilities:

· Teardown and Assembly of Locomotive Truck Frames.

· Teardown and Assembly of Traction Motor Combos.

· Test running and inspection of Traction Motor Combos.

· Failure Analysis of the products listed above.

· Jobs are ever evolving and changing, so you will never be doing the same thing day in, day out.

· The products we repair/fabricate will not only be used in the United States, but worldwide.

Physical demands:
