Position Overview
The Residential Restoration Assistant helps restore and
modernize vacant housing units for the Housing Authority of Paducah. The role
supports technicians and supervisors by performing general labor, cleaning,
basic maintenance, and repair tasks to prepare units for livable conditions.
Essential Duties & Responsibilities:
- Assist with cleaning and preparing units for restoration
(sweeping, mopping, debris removal).
- Support technicians in repairing fixtures, appliances,
and surfaces.
- Safely handle and organize tools, materials, and
equipment.
- Maintain cleanliness and organization of work vehicles
and storage areas.
- Wear personal protective equipment and follow safety
protocols.
- Perform basic tasks such as changing light bulbs, hanging
blinds, and replacing hardware.
- Transport materials and supplies to job sites as needed.
- Document work performed and communicated unit status to
supervisors.
- Participate in training and development activities.
- Contribute to team efforts and perform other duties as
assigned.
