What You'll Do
As a General Maintenance Worker, you'll help maintain buildings, equipment, and surrounding grounds to ensure a safe, clean, and professional environment.
Building & Facility Maintenance
- Perform general building repairs and preventive maintenance, including basic plumbing, painting, carpentry, masonry, and electrical work.
- Replace belts and filters on air handling units.
- Patch and repair minor holes and cracks in walls and ceilings.
- Repair or replace sinks, water coolers, toilets, and other plumbing fixtures.
- Paint buildings, structures, and equipment as needed.
- Repair concrete floors, steps, sidewalks, and other surfaces.
- Inspect and repair damaged interior building surfaces.
- Perform routine maintenance on equipment and machinery.
Groundskeeping & Exterior Maintenance
- Maintain outdoor areas, including lawns, landscaped spaces, walkways, and surrounding grounds.
- Perform mowing, weed eating, edging, trimming, and general landscape upkeep.
- Remove leaves, debris, litter, and other materials to keep grounds clean and presentable.
- Assist with seasonal grounds maintenance and outdoor cleanup projects.
- Maintain sidewalks, parking areas, entrances, and other exterior spaces to promote a safe environment.
- Safely operate and maintain groundskeeping tools and equipment, including lawn mowers, string trimmers, and leaf blowers.
- Identify and report exterior maintenance needs, safety hazards, and property concerns.
Safety & Teamwork
- Follow all company safety policies, procedures, and accident prevention guidelines.
- Maintain accurate and timely maintenance records.
- Keep assigned work areas clean, organized, and safe.
- Work collaboratively with team members and assist with other maintenance duties as assigned.
What We're Looking For
- Minimum of 2 years of related maintenance experience or an equivalent combination of education, training, and experience.
- General knowledge of building maintenance, repair techniques, and safe equipment operation.
- Experience with groundskeeping, landscaping, or outdoor property maintenance preferred.
- Ability to perform physically demanding work and work outdoors in varying weather conditions.
- Strong work ethic, dependability, and attention to detail.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
- Must be able to pass a local background check and obtain and maintain NAC/LAC clearance after hire.
