An exciting opportunity awaits a General Manager to lead a mid-to-high-end luxury safari camp/lodge situated within a national park in Uganda. Our client is looking for a South African candidate.
This is a hands-on leadership role for someone who thrives in remote, off-grid environments and can deliver world-class hospitality while managing complex lodge operations.
YOUR KEY RESPONSIBILITIES:
Guest Experience Management
Deliver exceptional, personalised guest experiences.
Maintain the highest standards of luxury hospitality.
Manage guest feedback and service recovery.
Operations & Standards
Oversee all daily lodge operations.
Implement and maintain operational SOPs.
Ensure operational efficiency and service excellence.
Team Leadership
Lead, motivate and develop a diverse, multicultural team.
Manage a mixed workforce.
Build a positive, accountable service culture.
Compliance & Safety
Ensure compliance with national park concession requirements.
Oversee health, safety, security and risk management.
Maintain operational and regulatory standards.
Conservation & Community
Support conservation initiatives and responsible tourism.
Build positive relationships with surrounding communities.
Balance commercial success with environmental responsibility.

Requirements
An established General Manager with experience in luxury hospitality, safari lodges or remote properties.
Strong operational and financial management capabilities.
Proven ability to lead multicultural teams.
Experience managing high-end international clientele.
Comfortable working in remote, off-grid environments.
Strong understanding of guest experience, compliance and operational standards.
A South African candidate with the flexibility to relocate to Uganda.
