General Manager (Business Development)

Job Summary

This newly created role in a Singapore-based company within a leading regional PR group reports to the Group CEO. You will drive innovative integrated marketing communications and overseas PR strategies, lead the local team, and build strong client relationships.

Responsibilities

  • Develop and implement innovative integrated marketing communications (IMC) and overseas public relations (PR) strategies focused on overseas markets, emphasizing deep integration and effective use of social media channels
  • Lead and manage the local execution team in Singapore by setting clear goals, assigning tasks, providing guidance and feedback, and ensuring timely, high-quality project delivery
  • Identify and develop potential clients in overseas markets through targeted outreach and relationship-building activities
  • Serve as the primary strategic contact for existing clients by understanding their needs deeply and providing proactive, tailored advice to support their business objectives

Required competencies and certifications

  • Demonstrate 8+ years of experience in integrated marketing communications or digital marketing, including at least 2 years focused on social media marketing strategy and execution in overseas markets
  • Possess extensive experience serving clients in the consumer goods industry, with a strong understanding of consumer brand building, user behavior, and marketing characteristics
  • Have 2+ years of team leadership or project management experience, with proven skills in team building, motivation, coaching, and cross-departmental collaboration
  • Exhibit fluent English communication skills, both written and spoken, capable of conducting international meetings, preparing English project reports, and managing multinational teams and client communications
