About the role

At Sexy Sammies, the General Manager is the "Sauce Boss" and the heartbeat of the coop! You aren't just running a shift; you’re orchestrating a high-energy symphony of crispy chicken and good vibes.

Your mission? Leading a crew of rockstars to deliver legendary service while ensuring every Sammie is dressed to impress. From mastering the P&L hustle to keeping the music pumping and the kitchen humming, you own the floor. You’re a mentor, a problem-solver, and the ultimate brand ambassador. If you love fast-paced fun, people development, and world-class chicken tenders and sammies, you’re the secret ingredient we need!

Qualifications

To be a General Manager at Sexy Sammies, you’ve got to bring more than just a love for great chicken. Based on the standards for high-energy, fast-casual groups, you need to be a blend of a savvy business owner and a high-octane team coach. Here are the typical qualifications required to lead the "coop":

🏆 Experience & Leadership

  • Management Tenure: 2–5 years of experience as a General Manager or Assistant GM in a high-volume, fast-casual environment.
  • Team Development: A proven track record of recruiting, training, and mentoring a diverse crew. You aren’t just a boss; you’re a talent scout.
  • High-Volume Hustle: Experience managing a fast-paced "rush" without breaking a sweat (or the guest experience).

Business Acumen

  • P&L Mastery: You should be comfortable with Profit & Loss statements, managing labor costs, and hitting food cost targets.
  • Inventory & Ordering: Sharp skills in keeping the kitchen stocked and organized while minimizing waste.
  • Operational Excellence: Expert knowledge of food safety (ServSafe Certification is usually a must) and standard operating procedures (SOPs).

The "Sexy Sammies" X-Factor

  • The Vibe Architect: The ability to maintain a high-energy, fun culture where the music is right and the team is smiling.
  • Customer Connection: A "Guest First" mentality—handling feedback with grace and turning every visitor into a regular.
  • Must be at least 21 years old (for locations serving alcohol).

Physical Requirements

Working in a fast-casual restaurant environment requires:

  • Ability to stand and walk for extended periods (up to 8–10 hours per shift)
  • Ability to bend, reach, twist, and lift up to 50 pounds
  • Comfort working in a hot kitchen environment with fryers, ovens, and grills
  • Ability to handle fast-paced, high-volume shifts
  • Manual dexterity to handle cooking tools, POS systems, and cleaning equipment
  • Tolerance for moderate noise levels and frequent interaction with guests and staff
