An opportunity to shape the future direction of a growing cloud engineering practice within a technology-driven organisation delivering critical solutions for enterprise clients.

We're seeking an experienced cloud or platform executive to oversee a multi-cloud engineering capability spanning Azure, AWS and hybrid environments. This role combines strategic oversight, capability development, client engagement and commercial accountability, with a strong focus on modern engineering practices, automation and AI-enabled ways of working.

The Opportunity

You'll be responsible for the cloud engineering function, helping define platform strategy, strengthen engineering capability and support the delivery of secure, scalable and resilient cloud platforms.

Key areas of focus include:

• Cloud platform strategy across Azure, AWS and hybrid environments
• Platform engineering, DevOps and Infrastructure as Code
• Reliability, observability and operational resilience
• FinOps and cloud cost optimisation
• AI-enabled engineering practices and productivity improvement
• Capability development, workforce planning and career growth
• Executive stakeholder engagement and trusted client relationships
• Practice performance, scalability and continuous improvement

About You

You may currently be working as a:

• General Manager, Cloud Engineering
• Head of Cloud
• Head of Platform Engineering
• Director of Cloud Platforms
• Director of Infrastructure & Operations
• Director of Platform Engineering or Reliability Engineering

You'll bring:

• Experience overseeing cloud, platform or infrastructure engineering functions
• Deep expertise across Azure and/or AWS environments
• Strong understanding of DevOps, automation, Kubernetes and Infrastructure as Code
• A proven history of developing high-performing technical teams and capability frameworks
• Strong commercial judgement and stakeholder engagement skills
• Experience influencing strategy while maintaining a focus on customer and business outcomes

Experience within digital, SaaS, enterprise technology, consulting or managed services environments will be highly regarded. Exposure to regulated industries such as Financial Services, Banking, Superannuation or Insurance is advantageous.
