General Manager

Build What's Next. Edge Eyewear isn't looking for someone to simply manage operations. We're looking for a leader who can help build the next chapter of our company.

As we've grown, we've intentionally preserved the entrepreneurial spirit that has defined Edge since day one: innovation, adaptability, resourcefulness, and a willingness to challenge convention. Now we're entering a new phase. One that requires strong operational alignment, scalable leadership, and clear accountability without sacrificing the agility that got us here.

This is an opportunity to help shape how a company operates, not just oversee how it runs.

As General Manager, you'll serve as the bridge between strategy and execution, partnering closely with the CEO and leadership team to align people, priorities, communication, and operational excellence across the organization. You'll help create the structure that enables growth while preserving the culture that makes Edge unique.

Why This Role Exists

Success depends on turning ideas into execution, aligning teams around shared priorities, developing future leaders, and creating systems that scale. This role exists to make that happen.

Working alongside the CEO, you'll translate company priorities into operational execution, strengthen cross-functional collaboration, establish clear accountability, and help establish the leadership rhythms that enable sustainable growth.

What You'll Lead

Operational Excellence

You'll build the operational framework that enables teams to execute consistently while maintaining the flexibility of an entrepreneurial business.

  • Translate company priorities into operational execution.
  • Develop operational roadmaps aligned with strategic goals.
  • Establish clear ownership, accountability, and measurable performance across departments.
  • Improve communication rhythms and cross-functional collaboration.
  • Create scalable processes without introducing unnecessary bureaucracy.
  • Partner with functional leaders to remove barriers and improve execution.
  • Drive continuous improvement across operations, finance, logistics, HR, and sales operations.

People Leadership

Great organizations are built by developing great leaders.

You'll coach, mentor, and support department leaders while creating clarity around expectations, accountability, and performance.

  • Develop future leaders and department champions.
  • Align teams around shared priorities and measurable goals.
  • Foster ownership through coaching, feedback, and accountability.
  • Facilitate collaborative problem solving across departments.
  • Lead operational meetings, planning sessions, and leadership off sites.
  • Support leadership development initiatives that strengthen the organization over time.

Culture Champion

Culture isn't a slogan. It’s our currency. It's how people communicate, solve problems, make decisions, and lead every day. As General Manager, you'll play a central role in reinforcing the behaviors that define Edge while helping the organization continue to evolve.

You'll foster a culture built on:

  • Ownership – We own our work.
  • Adaptability – We are nimble.
  • Resourcefulness – We find solutions.
  • Direct Communication – Transparency over illusion.
  • Resilience – Failure is data, not identity.
  • Reinvention & Growth – We continue to evolve.

As General Manager, you'll model these behaviors every day while helping others do the same. More than anything, you'll help preserve the entrepreneurial spirit that has always made Edge unique while building the leadership systems that will carry the company into its next chapter.

Who You Are

We're looking for a leader who combines operational discipline with entrepreneurial thinking. You likely have experience leading multiple business functions within a growing organization and thrive on bringing clarity to complexity. Most importantly, you've successfully aligned people, processes, and priorities to help organizations grow.

  • Experience leading cross-functional teams.
  • Strong operational and strategic thinking.
  • Exceptional communication and relationship-building skills.
  • A track record of building accountability without creating bureaucracy.
  • The ability to influence through collaboration rather than hierarchy.
  • Passion for developing leaders and strengthening organizational culture.

Why Edge?

Since 1998, Edge Eyewear has been redefining what protective eyewear should be. At a time when safety glasses lacked many of the features, technologies, and style people wanted, Edge set out to design safety glasses people actually wanted to wear.

More than 25 years later, that same spirit continues to shape the business. We value innovation, adaptability, ownership, and resourcefulness. We believe growth happens when people are empowered to contribute ideas, solve problems, take initiative, and expand their impact.

At Edge, employees are active participants in the journey. Join a team that embraces change, values direct communication, and is committed to continuous growth and improvement.
