General Manager

What we're looking for

We’re seeking a talented and passionate General Manager to join our team. In this role, you’ll work closely with the Jikoni team, Executive Chefs and directors, playing a pivotal role in building and leading our new venture (opening Winter 2026). The role will start in October 2026. This is a hands-on leadership role where you’ll be able to engage with Jikoni’s positive and purposeful values and also inspire, mentor and energise a brand-new bar/FOH team.

• Experience: 2 years' experience as a Supervisor/Manager is preferred or any equivalent experience welcome. If you meet most of the criteria and are excited about the role, we encourage you to apply.

Key responsibilities

• Oversee daily restaurant operations to ensure smooth and efficient service
• Lead, train, and supervise front-of-house and kitchen staff
• Manage staff scheduling, performance, and payroll tracking
• Deliver excellent customer service and handle customer feedback or complaints
• Monitor stock levels, place orders, and manage supplier relationships
• Control costs, manage budgets, and meet sales targets
• Ensure compliance with food safety, hygiene, and health & safety regulations
• Maintain high standards of cleanliness, presentation, and brand consistency
• Respond to and organise enquiries for private hires
• Respond to reviews and general enquiries
• Prepare reports on sales performance and operational metrics to present back to the senior team
