General Manager - Lifestyle

P&L & portfolio management

  • Own the consolidated Lifestyle P&L and each line's contribution; report monthly by line.
  • Allocate attention and budget across the four lines by return, not habit.

F&B (outsourced operator)

  • Manage the operator contract: service standards, performance review, escalation.
  • Own the incentive structure — verify it actually motivates the operator to its growth target; renegotiate if incentives cap out.
  • Coordinate F&B with events (catering, packages) and daypart programming.

Retail

  • Own retail performance: revenue, gross margin, sell-through, inventory turns.
  • Direct buying and range planning
  • Drive attachment from arena traffic, members and event guests; visual merchandising with the Head of Brand.

Events & venue sales

  • Manage the Events & Venue Sales Manager (B2B + B2C); own the events revenue line and pipeline reviews.
  • Approve event pricing, packages and calendar; protect BU arena revenue when selling buyouts.

Rentals & partnerships

  • Grow recurring rental income: existing partners; source new rental partners for underused space and hours.
  • Lead brand partnerships and activations with the Head of Brand — the studio executes; this role owns the commercial relationship.

What success looks like

First 90 days

  • Full command of all four lines; F&B incentive structure reviewed with a recommendation; events pipeline live; rental growth plan for pickleball agreed.

12 months

  • BU tracking to target annualised; events at 2x+ current run rate; rentals at target; retail margin and turns improving.

Requirements:

  • 7+ years multi-line commercial leadership in hospitality, retail-hospitality, venues, malls or lifestyle brands with P&L ownership.
  • Proven results through outsourced operators and partners, not only direct teams.
  • B2B commercial instinct: events, partnerships or corporate sales leadership.
  • Retail literacy: margins, turns, sell-through, open-to-buy.
  • Event Planning skills and experience coordinating lifestyle events, activations, and community-focused initiatives.
  • Experience managing teams in hospitality, leisure, sports, or lifestyle venues, including coaching and performance management.
  • Strong organizational and problem-solving abilities, with comfort handling multiple priorities in a fast-paced setting.
  • Ability to work on site in Singapore with flexibility for some remote work; weekend and evening availability as required by operations and events.

Good to have:

  • Existing brand, agency or corporate network in Singapore.
  • Attractions, integrated resort or experiential venue background.
  • Experience curating premium experiences and lifestyle offerings.
  • Relevant diploma or degree in hospitality, business, events, or a related field is advantageous; prior experience in surf, snow, skate, or sports lifestyle environments is a plus.
