Role Summary:
The General Manager is responsible for the overall leadership, operational performance, and strategic execution of multiple manufacturing facilities. This role drives operational excellence, safety, quality, delivery performance, workforce development, and scalable growth while ensuring alignment with company objectives. The General Manager serves as the senior site leader across multiple locations and works closely with manufacturing, engineering, supply chain, quality, finance, and executive leadership teams.

Essential Responsibilities:

  • Lead day-to-day operations across multiple manufacturing sites, ensuring achievement of production, quality, safety, delivery, and cost objectives.
  • Develop and execute operational strategies that support facility growth, production ramp-up, and long-term business objectives.
  • Drive a culture of accountability, continuous improvement, and operational excellence throughout all facilities.
  • Manage and develop site leadership teams, including production, logistics, quality, maintenance, and support functions.
  • Establish and maintain standardized processes, work instructions, visual management systems, and performance metrics across all sites.
  • Collaborate closely with engineering, supply chain, logistics, and quality teams to ensure smooth execution and on-time delivery.
  • Identify operational bottlenecks and implement corrective actions to improve throughput, efficiency, and customer satisfaction.
  • Lead capacity planning, workforce planning, facility expansion initiatives, and operational readiness activities.
  • Own key performance indicators (KPIs) related to safety, quality, delivery, productivity, inventory, and cost.
  • Prepare and present operational reviews, performance updates, and strategic recommendations to executive leadership.
  • Support customer visits, audits, investor visits, and strategic business reviews.
  • Ensure compliance with all applicable regulatory, safety, environmental, and company requirements.

Qualifications & Experience:

Required:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Engineering, Business, Operations Management, Supply Chain, Logistics, or a related field.
  • 10+ years of progressive leadership experience in manufacturing, operations, or industrial environments.
  • Demonstrated success managing multiple facilities, business units, or large-scale operations.
  • Strong understanding of manufacturing processes, operational metrics, capacity planning, and production systems.
  • Experience leading cross-functional teams and driving organizational change.
  • Excellent communication, leadership, and stakeholder management skills.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities with a data-driven decision-making approach.
  • Ability to travel between facilities as business needs require.

Preferred:

  • Master’s degree in Engineering, Business Administration (MBA), Operations Management, Project Management, or a related discipline.
  • Experience in aerospace, defense, advanced manufacturing, automotive, or other highly regulated industries.
  • Lean Manufacturing, Six Sigma, APICS, PMP, or equivalent professional certifications.
  • Experience scaling operations in high-growth environments.

Physical Requirements:

  • Ability to remain in a stationary position (sitting or standing) for extended periods while working at a computer or attending meetings.
  • Frequent use of computers, communication devices, and presentation tools.
  • Ability to communicate effectively in person, virtually, and through written correspondence.
  • Regular walking throughout manufacturing, warehouse, and operational environments.
  • Ability to safely navigate production facilities and operational workspaces.
  • Occasional lifting or moving of items up to 20 pounds.
  • Ability to travel domestically and internationally as required
