We are seeking an experienced General Manager of Dining Services to lead all culinary and dining operations for a premier Continuing Care Retirement Community (CCRC) in Orange County, NY. This leadership role oversees a diverse dining program serving Independent Living, Enriched Living, and Skilled Nursing residents while creating memorable dining experiences through outstanding food, service, and team leadership.
The successful candidate is an energetic, hands-on leader who thrives in a resident-centered environment and is passionate about developing teams, driving operational excellence, and delivering restaurant-quality hospitality.
Responsibilities
- Provide overall leadership for all dining services operations throughout the community.
- Oversee multiple dining venues, including:
- Café operations
- Independent Living full-service dining room
- Enriched Living dining
- Skilled Nursing dining services
- Ensure exceptional food quality, presentation, service standards, and resident satisfaction.
- Recruit, hire, coach, develop, and retain a high-performing culinary and dining services team.
- Manage department scheduling, labor productivity, payroll, and staffing levels.
- Monitor and control food, labor, and operating expenses while maintaining quality standards.
- Maintain compliance with all federal, state, and local regulations, including sanitation, food safety, and infection prevention requirements.
- Collaborate with clinical leadership to ensure therapeutic diets and nutritional needs are accurately executed.
- Work closely with residents and resident committees to gather feedback and continuously enhance the dining experience.
- Develop seasonal menus, special events, holiday dining programs, and resident engagement opportunities.
- Foster a culture built on hospitality, accountability, teamwork, and continuous improvement.
- Partner with community leadership to support occupancy, resident satisfaction, and organizational goals.
