General Manager
Summary
Oversee day-to-day operations of a master-planned resort community in Naples, FL, managing hospitality, HOA coordination, financial performance, and resident experience for a global hospitality management firm.
The General Manager serves as the senior on-site operational leader responsible for the overall performance, execution, and resident experience of a master-planned resort lifestyle community. The role oversees hospitality operations, HOA coordination, food & beverage, lifestyle programming, wellness amenities, staffing, financial performance, and strategic execution aligned with developer and Board expectations.
The GM is responsible for integrating hospitality-level service standards with structured HOA governance while ensuring operational consistency, fiscal accountability, and long-term asset protection.
Compensation: $175,000 - $185,000 annually (based on experience)
Core Responsibilities:
Operational Leadership:
- Lead all day-to-day community and amenity operations
- Oversee hospitality, food & beverage, lifestyle, wellness, sports, and facility operations
- Ensure consistent execution of brand and resort standards
- Develop scalable operational systems, SOPs, and accountability structures
- Coordinate closely with HOA leadership, committees, and developer representatives
Financial Management:
- Develop and manage annual operating and reserve budgets
- Monitor financial performance, forecasting, labor controls, and purchasing practices
- Analyze KPIs including labor cost, revenue performance, member usage, and operational efficiency
- Oversee procurement, vendor relationships, and contract compliance
Resident & Member Experience:
- Ensure elevated resident/member engagement and service delivery
- Oversee community events, communication standards, and amenity programming
- Respond to escalated member concerns and operational issues
- Maintain a visible leadership presence throughout the community
Team Leadership:
- Recruit, develop, and lead department heads and operational staff
- Establish performance expectations and accountability measures
- Foster a culture of professionalism, hospitality, and operational ownership
- Conduct leadership meetings and succession planning initiatives
Governance & Compliance:
- Support Board and committee operations consistent with governing documents and management agreements
- Ensure operational compliance with policies, risk management, and regulatory requirements
- Partner with CAM leadership regarding governance execution and owner relations
- Support transition planning from developer to homeowner control where applicable
Preferred Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s degree preferred
- CAM license preferred where applicable
- 7–10+ years of hospitality, club, HOA, or resort operations leadership experience
- Multi-department operational oversight experience required
- Strong financial acumen and budget management skills
- Experience in resort lifestyle, club, golf, or master-planned communities preferred
- Proven leadership and team development experience
