General Operator
Summary
Operates and maintains molding and secondary operation equipment in a manufacturing cell, reads blueprints and measuring tools, and follows 5S safety procedures.
Tasks and Responsibilities:
- Read Blueprints and measuring equipment such as scales, micrometers, optical comparators, and veniers.
- Be able to set up, operate and maintain all 2nd Operation and Molding equipment.
- The Cell Operator must work as a team member to insure the success of the team and to assist the team in meeting customer demands.
- Maintain a clean and safe work environment utilizing 5S procedures.
- Provide assistance to other cells as needed.
- Other duties as assigned.
Education and Experience:
- High School or GED Equivalent
- Must be able and willing to work as a team member.
- Have ability to learn quickly and retain various forms of information.
- Reading, writing and math skills are essential.
- Ability to read and use work instructions, blueprints, and measuring instruments.
- Basic computer skills.
