About the Project
The project is a product in the regulated medical software and medical devices domain, where quality, reliability and compliance are critical. We are looking for a QA Engineer who combines manual and automated testing and uses Python on a daily basis, to help ensure the product meets its quality and compliance goals throughout the development life cycle. The role also has some overlap with the PST time zone.
Responsibilities
Design, write and execute functional, regression and integration test cases across the product.
Build and maintain automated test scripts and supporting tooling in Python on a day-to-day basis.
Work within a regulated software development life cycle and keep test documentation, traceability and evidence in good order.
Contribute to verification and validation activities and support release readiness.
Report, track and verify defects with clear reproduction steps and severity assessment.
Take part in performance and stress testing activities where they overlap with the role.
Collaborate with developers, product and the client's stakeholders throughout the delivery cycle.
Requirements
Experience: 3+ years of overall QA experience.
Manual and automation: hands-on experience in both manual testing and test automation.
Python scripting: hands-on Python used day to day for test automation and tooling.
Software life cycle: a solid understanding of the software development life cycle and structured QA processes.
Standards and regulations: some knowledge of relevant standards, regulations and compliance practices, and a readiness to work within them.
English: spoken and written English at a confident Intermediate level or above.
Mindset: a careful, detail-oriented and evidence-driven approach suited to a regulated environment.
Nice to Have
Similar project experience: 1+ year on a similar (medical or regulated) project is a plus but not required.
Medical devices experience: previous experience testing medical devices or medical software is ideal but not a must-have.
Performance and stress testing: experience with load and stress testing and tools such as k6, JMeter or Locust.
Automation tooling: familiarity with CI/CD pipelines, Git and test reporting.
