2nd Shift: Monday-Friday
3rd Shift: Sunday-Thursday
Essential Duties and Responsibilities:
- Achieve Operational Targets: Consistently meet or exceed established volume, productivity, and accuracy goals while maintaining exceptional quality standards and a high level of accountability across the team.
- Drive Process and Cost Efficiency: Monitor departmental performance metrics and implement continuous improvement initiatives to enhance workflow efficiency, reduce operational costs, and support overall organizational objectives.
- Oversee Daily Work Assignments: Plan, distribute, and supervise daily tasks, ensuring work is performed with precision, consistency, and adherence to company policies, standard operating procedures, and compliance requirements.
- Coordinate Cross-Functional Activities: Collaborate closely with supervisors and leaders in production, inventory control, and other departments to ensure seamless operations, proactive communication, and alignment of shared goals.
- Ensure Training and Compliance: Provide comprehensive onboarding and ongoing training to employees covering job responsibilities, equipment operation, safety protocols, and relevant systems or software. Maintain thorough documentation of training activities.
- Manage Shipping Documentation: Prepare and review all necessary shipping documents—including bills of lading, hazmat certifications, and order paperwork—to ensure accuracy and regulatory compliance.
- Resolve Operational Issues: Support employees in troubleshooting workflow challenges, addressing order discrepancies, and resolving customer shipment issues in a timely and effective manner.
- Monitor Workforce Productivity: Review and interpret weekly productivity reports for pickers and packers, using data to coach team members, enhance performance, and ensure service levels are achieved.
- Provide Performance Feedback: Conduct regular performance evaluations and deliver constructive feedback, recognizing strong performance and addressing areas requiring improvement in a fair, consistent manner.
- Manage Time and Attendance: Oversee hourly employees’ timesheets, including daily punch verification, PTO requests, and schedule adjustments, ensuring compliance with company policies and labor regulations.
- Support HR and Employee Relations: Partner with Human Resources to address performance concerns, participate in the disciplinary process when necessary, and help maintain a positive, professional, and productive work environment.
