General Utility Worker-TFR - 1st Shift

Position Summary:
Performs a variety of duties involved in the custodial maintenance of the TFR facility. These duties include but are not limited to; all cleaning aspects of the offices, Learning Center, cafeteria, locker rooms/bathrooms, trash removal, recycling streams cleaning of the common areas within the production areas. Outdoor clean-up and grounds maintenance of property and snow removal. Call backs, overtime, and off-hours maintenance are sometimes required.
Measures of success:
- Completes custodial tasks on time both in the office and the factory
- Utilizes Limble system to accurately report all activities
- Accurately documents all preventative maintenance activities
Responsibilities:
Responsibilities include but are not limited to:
- Performs a variety of routine and special duties in the overall maintenance of the plant, offices and grounds.
- Operates forklifts, and specialized equipment as part of the maintenance of facilities and machinery.
- Inputs data into Limble system.
- Performs custodial activities in both the office and factory.
- Performs exterior building maintenance including cleaning, graffiti removal, landscaping etc.
- Performs preventive maintenance on machinery, including changing of fluids, filters, cleaning and adjusting of machinery.
- Must alter shift on minimal notice for snow and weather emergencies.
- Drives company vehicles to suppliers and coordinates deliveries and pickups independently.
- Performs building maintenance such as painting, minor carpentry repairs and minor plumbing repairs.
- Perform other related duties as required or directed.
Qualifications
Required:
- High School Diploma or equivalent
- 1+ year of experience in custodial duties, and facility and grounds maintenance
- Valid driver’s license
- Hold and maintain a good driving record
- Must be capable of safely operating industrial powered vehicles (forklifts, floor sweeper)
- Must be able to alter schedule due to weather conditions to provide snow clearing.
- Maintain certification for fork truck
- Proficient at basic carpentry and plumbing skills
Work Environment
This position works primarily in a production floor environment where large equipment and noise are prevalent. Safety gear is required in these areas.
This position reports into the site every day.
