Generating Assets Manager

This position is located in the Generating Assets (PGA) organization of Generation Asset Management (PG), Power Services (P), Bonneville Power Administration (BPA). The purpose of this position is to serve as the Generating Assets Manager and a member of the PG management team with responsibility for planning, managing, and leading programs, systems, and work processes that are necessary to perform the critical mission and support activities required of the organization managed.

As a Generating Assets Manager, you will: Make major recommendation and decisions which have a direct and substantial effect on the Generating Assets program elements managed. Determine goals for the organization, independently of or jointly with higher management. Exercise delegated managerial authority to set a series of annual and longer-range work plans and schedules for in-service and contracted work, independently of or jointly with higher management. Exercise delegated supervisory authorities and responsibilities, directing, coordinating, and overseeing the work and providing similar oversight of contractors. Delegate authority to subordinate supervisors and hold them responsible for the performance of their subordinate organizational elements. Represent PG, P, and/or the BPA in working directly with executive-level personnel, managers and staff in BPA, other Federal agencies; State and local authorities; public and privately-owned utilities, manufacturers and providers of goods and services utilized by BPA; private industry; public groups; and any appropriate regulatory organizations.

First time supervisors will be required to serve a 1 year probationary period. This position has been designated as requiring a PUBLIC TRUST background. A preliminary background check must be completed before a new employee can begin work. Current Federal employees or other individuals with an existing completed background investigation may not be required to undergo another background check.
